“When trouble strikes, head to the library. You will either be able to solve the problem, or simply have something to read as the world crashes down around you.”
Lemony Snicket
During the past few months, I’ve been so grateful to have an amazing home library for the kids and be able to read on my Kindle. I’m so excited to say that after several months, our library is FINALLY doing curbside pickup! There is just nothing like library books!
With some restrictions in place, we’ve been able to get books for 2 weeks in a row and it’s been so fun to have new things to read! This small bit of (new) normalcy definitely helps keep spirits up as we head into a long and still mostly isolated summer.
Libraries always make my bookish heart skip a beat. I love seeing them portrayed in movies and TV. Here are a few of my favorite movie libraries:
Beauty and the Beast
Belle has always been my favorite Disney princess for many reasons: she’s kind and wise and puts Gaston in his place with class. And the Beast’s library?! WOW!
Harry Potter
I can’t talk about libraries and not include Harry Potter! There are so many great moments from the series that unfold in the library! Maybe I should do a post about some of those, hmmm?
The Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club is one of the most iconic movies of the 80s. Centered around 5 kids in detention, each character’s background and development in the movie is so fun to watch.
Do you have a favorite movie that portrays a library? If so, I’d love to know which one!
