A few days ago, I dropped off a bunch of things we decided to donate. Quarantine Spring Cleaning at its finest!
This donation center also has a thrift store so I went in. I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for but I naturally gravitated toward the book section. Can anyone else relate? I was shocked to find this vintage copy of Anne of Avonlea, part of one of the best series of all time. 💚
It looks like it’s a copy from the 1936 publication by Grosset and Dunlap
Holding this aged but still vibrant piece of history in my hands made me think about the world today. Like this copy, our history is dog eared and far from pristine. It made me think of how we forget things or events of the past. Or choose not to face them. I hope our world can spend time in the history that brought us here. To soak it in. To learn. It is only then that we can write a new chapter.
